I purchased the oral appliance connectors. They are very small plastic pieces. They work just fine but the price was exorbitant - $65 for 10 and $10 shipping! They fit in a tiny ~ 2” x 3” envelope. I would buy them elsewhere but can’t locate another source.

I would like to see the "bands" replaced by a "solid" as an alternative. In other words, the shape, holes for the peg connectors, etc. would be the same but the there would no longer be thin bands connecting the upper and lower plates. This would prevent band deterioration and breaks, along with having bands snatch the inside of your cheek (quite uncomfortable).
Another possible alternative would be to simply connect the two plates such that they can move but not break.
Note that I keep using the word "alternative." I am a big believer in having options where practical.
I realize that there may be reasons for the current configuration that may not make my suggestions practical, but this is the reason I rated the bands as a 4.

I was confused as a first time user and thought there was color coding for each size. But nooo... My bad! The sizes are very small and imprinted on each one. I needed magnification (I used my cell phone camera) to see the number, I am 75 years old. Enough said.

I love the mouthguard/appliance itself, great quality, very very comfortable. The connectors are not great though. They are a plastic that after a while wears down and breaks, especially if you thoroughly clean every day. And the replacements have to be taken off a plastic piece that often leaves them with rough edges which you have to file down so they dont cut your lip. Still worth it though, ver effective if you have sleep apnea.

The Clear Guard works; my jaw gets moved forward, as it is supposed to while sleeping, but it does not return to a normal bite position upon removing the guard. I need to know how to obtain normal bite/ chewing alignment after wearing the guard!!
