TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Copyright TheClearGuard.com 2024 |  The Clear Guard LLC / Terms / Conditions:

In today’s day and age a physical dental visit may not be an option for many people. Thank you for becoming a client of The Clear Guard. Our goal is your complete satisfaction. Please carefully read the following paragraphs. Your payment implies that you agree to our terms and conditions.

We are not examining your mouth. You understand that a doctor has not examined your mouth (oral cavity) to check for any physical anomalies or disease. We recommend that you have your oral cavity examined in person by Dentist or Physician at least once per year.

Our purpose is solely to make a new sleep apnea device, clear retainer, night guard, partial denture or to repair your existing device. By using our service, you agree that upon needing a sleep apnea device, clear retainer, night guard, partial denture or repair, it would not be REASONABLE to wait any longer and/or that a physical dental office visit would also not have been REASONABLE given your situation due to the inability to travel etc.

Additionally, this was the fastest most convenient option you were able to find. If you did not use our service for the new sleep apnea device, clear retainer, night guard, partial denture or repair in the best/fastest/most convenient possible manner, more harm and discomfort (sleep apnea, eating, smiling, socially) would have been encountered than by not using our services. The Clear Guard is not a licensed provider of dental medicine in any state, and do not make any representations to the contrary. Notwithstanding the foregoing, The Clear Guard may engage the services of licensed dental providers in order to enhance the level of service provided to its users. Use of The Clear Guard does not substitute for your use of any licensed medical professional, including dentists, for medical and/or dental care.

How do the Clear Retainers and Night Guards fit?

All products are made from your dental impression. If your teeth impression is deep and you've captured all the teeth from the incisal edge to the gum line, your appliance will cover from the tip of the teeth up to the gum line. This is the best outcome.

If you take an impression and the front teeth are covered to the gum line but the back teeth are only half, then the final product will cover the teeth to the highest point that your impression did.

If your impression is distorted, this means that you may have moved the trays or your mouth during taking the dental impression, pushed the impression in more than once, or you did not get all the teeth into the putty. The second kit with additional materials to make a good impression, the remake kit, is $9.95. Please watch the videos to insure you take a quality impression the first time.

Clear Retainer 1.5mm fit

The Clear Retainer 1.5mm material is stiff and a little thicker than the standard 1.0mm Clear Retainer material and provides more retention of the teeth. If the Clear Retainer is forced over the teeth it may be difficult to remove and possibilities for tooth damage may occur.
This is why our technicians trim every appliance differently. This is why we call these Custom Dental Appliances. No two mouths are the same and no two dental retainers or night guards are the same.

Clear Retainer 1.0mm fit

The Clear Retainer 1.0mm is thinner than the 1.5mm. Because of this, we are able to trim the material to the gum line of each tooth. We trim the retainers as high as your impression captured the teeth. If you only captured half the tooth, then the Clear Retainer will be trimmed to that height. Please push the tray and material as far over the teeth as you can to capture all the teeth.

Sleep Apnea and EMA Devices should not be used by individuals who:

  • Have severe sleep apnea
  • Are under the age of 18 years
  • Have a history of TMD (temporomandibular disorder)
  • Have a respiratory disorder
  • Have loose teeth, abscesses, severe gum disease, or advanced periodontal disease
  • Must have at least 2 molars on the top dental arch and 2 molars on the bottom dental arch for these types of devices.
  • Wear dentures, braces, or other dental appliances
  • Have dental implants, crowns, or bridges (unless approved by their dentist)

Can I cancel my order?

There is a 5% credit card processing fee for cancelled orders.

Due to hygiene standards and the health and safety of others, we do not re-use impression kits once they have been shipped.
