The fit is excellent and comfortable, permitting small movements of the jaw (TMJ) and allowing uninhibited oral breathing. This appliance helps promote a deeper, more restful sleep by alleviating snoring and relieving the symptoms of OSA. It does not interfere with breathing through the mouth, even in cases of congested nasal passages.

Customer service is very responsive and helpful. Overall the product quality is decent. I recently had to have my bottom piece replaced as it became too loose. The new one fits fine but it is already starting to feel loose. I’m not sure what can be done to correct this but that is really the only thing that’s left me slightly dissatisfied.

There are no instructions once you receive your device on how to adjust the bands up or down. I have had it 4 nights and I am still snoring.

Unfortunately, I messed up my first impressions (off-center) which led to an awkward fit and it cracked under the misaligned pressure with grinding. However, Clear Guard replaced it free-of-charge (only had to pay for a new impressions kit) and the new one has helped significantly with both grinding and snoring according to both my spouse and Oura ring measurements. It's also more effective and much more comfortable than the $3500 one my dentist insisted I get a couple of years ago. That one had a metal joint that gouged my cheeks and didn't even hold its setting well. I don't mind wearing this one at all. My only other minor issue is the kit didn't include the 18mm band which I suspect is my optimal setting (using the 17mm instead).

A few years ago, my persistent jaw pain finally pushed me to see a TMJ specialist. I really like this device and the cost of it. It does for me what they say it will do, which is reduce snoring, but most importantly, is to provide for a more patent airway. Sleep tech here. All devices are not the same. Too bulky and it can take up tongue space necessitating further advancement than is necessary. This one is nice and small.

Soooo my sleep apnea device worked good until my dog ripped it into pieces. I went with the EMA because I could see that I was grinding the other device and the EMA is said to be better for bruxing. Ultimately, both work the same, but the EMA is a little thinner in the mouth and the buttons that hold the bands will not get loose. Money well spent. I highly recommend you get two. I couldn’t believe that my dentist wanted close to $4000 for the same device. If you think the price is high, I recommend you go talk to a dentist and see what they are selling these for. Actually receiving the mouthguard took far too long, especially after paying an extra $40 for

For the price, I did not go wrong. The impression taking was a bit tricky and the wait time was about 2 weeks. That seems the standard time in the dental industry. I should have rushed my order. I'd worn a TAP (Thorton Adjustable Positioner) for about 16 years but after relining and other repairs it was finally defunct. My dentist made a small splint that fit cuspid to cuspid but it slipped out too easily, so I went searching for an alternative and found the Clear Guard. It is easier to use than the TAP and is effective to prevent deep snoring. I am now using the 22mm connectors and about to step up to the 21mm in another week or two. This appliance works almost as well as the draconian TAP to stop the snoring and is infinitely more comfortable and certainly much more affordable. Thank you!

Jenny recommend this because I am a severe tooth grinder. This thing came with little clear pads on the bottom tray so that I do not grind a hole in it too soon. I have chewed several night guards, so I am concerned to not put a hole through this sleep thing. Thanks again Jenny for all of your help. If you grind your teeth, go with this one.

I haven’t gotten my ema yet, but my experience with the impression kit was great! I have a really bad gag reflex with impressions, so I was nervous about doing it myself. I’m happy to report I didn’t have an issue with it at all! It was super easy to mix the putty and take the impression, especially with all of the info provided by The Clear Guard. I highly recommend watching all the videos.
